Video Tutorial | Photoshop Tutorial Dave Hill Effect . I was asked in a recent comment on a Photoshop tutorial that I made to do a tutorial on the Dave Hill Effect. I had never actually heard or seen the effect before, but in searching images I found that the effect was very interesting and definitely worth while. I also found that the techniques needed to use the effect were very easy to utilize. I am happy to present to you this tutorial on how to achieve the Dave Hill effect in Adobe Photoshop. Now this tutorial is a bit more destructive than other tutorials I have been showing lately, so make sure you make a copy of that background layer when you begin this tutorial.

Lomography is a pretty recent type of photography invented by the Lomographic Society, founded in the early nineties in Austria. The founders first experimented with Lomo LC-A, a cheap Russian toy camera. They were taken by the unique, high contrast photos with vignettes and soft focus. The original lomo cameras are the LC-A, Holga, Fisheye, Colorsplash and Supersampler (more on that later…)

According to Lomography.com, There are 10 rules that define ‘lomography’:

1. Take your camera everywhere you go.
2. Use it any time — day and night.
3. Lomography is not an interference in your life, but a part of it.
4. Try to shoot from the hip.
5. Approach the objects of your Lomographic desire as close as possible.
6. Don’t think.
7. Be fast.
8. You don’t have to know beforehand what you captured on film.
9. Afterwards either.
10. Don’t worry about any rules!

Lomography is considered an art movement; as there are now several stores, galleries, groups, competitions and embassies around the world aiming to spread and support the art. The Lomographic Society International headquarters is in Vienna, Austria, but it maintains a website where lomographers can purchase their cameras, interact with fellow photographers, share their photos and techniques, etc.

Fix Gradient Banding In Photoshop

Video Tutorial | Fix Gradient Banding In Photoshop. Learn how to fix the problem of gradient banding in adobe photoshop. I was recently working on a website where I needed to use a background gradient image in order for the background to function in earlier versions of internet explorer. Of course you can use css3 gradients if that is not an issue for you and that will actually give you the best results. If you do need to use a gradient background image as I did, these are the techniques you will need to know to keep your gradient from banding. If my final result still looks banded it is because of video quality and not due to actual banding. Sorry if that is the case, but compare the gradient to the background of the workspace. If they are both banded that means that they are the same and that no banding is actually there in actuality.
